The Select Board has been informed of an expansion to eligibility for Internet Essentials from Comcast which helps low-income households in their service area with internet services through access, devices, and education.
Internet Essentials provides high-speed internet service for $9.95 a month plus tax, the option to purchase a desktop or laptop computer for $149.99 , and access free digital literacy training in print, online, and in person. Individuals may qualify if they have at least one child who is eligible for the National School Lunch Program, or if they receive public assistance through such programs as housing assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, and others.
