Mansfield senior citizens are encouraged to participate in COA volunteer opportunities. Placements are at the center or out in the community, and work assignments are often tailored to the skill level of the volunteer.
Homeowners who pay real estate taxes may wish to participate in the tax work-off program, which allows a volunteer work assignment with a town department. A real estate tax credit is granted of up to $750.00, and is determined by amount of time worked.

GATRA van service is available to Mansfield senior citizens age 60 and older, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Rides are scheduled for around town trips, and may be arranged by calling Bill’s Taxi at 1-800-529-8294.
Short distance medical transportation is also available through the COA Escort Program. Because this is a very popular program, rides must be scheduled at least one week in advance by calling 508-261-7368.
