COA CINEMA PUB
COA Cinema Pub will be held on Thursday, February 2nd at 3:00 PM. The featured movie will be “The Help,” starring Emma Stone, Golden Globe winner Octavia Spencer, Viola Davis, Sissy Spacek, Cicely Tyson and Allison Janney.

March Cinema Pub will be held on Thursday, March 1st at 3:00 PM and will feature “The Queen,” starring Helen Mirren in her Academy Award portrayal of Queen Elizabeth. This highly acclaimed film is a riveting and heartbreaking story of Britain’s Royal Family during the days after the death of Princess Diana Spencer.

FEBRUARY WELLNESS LUNCH
The Council On Aging and the Community Visiting Nurses of Attleboro will be holding the monthly Wellness Luncheon Series on Wednesday, February 8th at 11:30 AM.

Mansfield seniors are invited to attend a workshop given by Stacey Hiltner and Bonnie Ryvicker on “Budgeting Basics—Mapping out a Monthly Budgeting Strategy to Stretch Household Dollars,” over a lunch of Swedish meatballs with egg noodles, glazed carrots, whole wheat bread with butter, fresh pears and beverages.

The COA Book Group will meet on Wednesday, February 8th at 1:00 PM for a discussion on Sinclair Lewis’ "Main Street," and on Wednesday, March 14th at 1:00 PM for "The Late George Apley," by JP Marquand. LUNCH BUNCH
Mansfield seniors are invited to attend the Valentine’s Lunch Bunch on Friday, February 10th at 11:30 AM. Lunch will be prepared by visiting guests Joyce and Bent Jensen and COA Activities Coordinator Darcia Jensen.

The program, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, will be presented by Meryl Emma from the Hospice Services of Massachusetts. Samples of chocolate and coffee varieties will be served. EPOCH SENIOR HEALTHCARE TO OFFER WORKSHOP
Mansfield seniors are invited to attend a free health workshop offered in conjunction with Epoch of Norton at the Council On Aging on Wednesday, February 29th at 1:00 PM. The workshop, Aging and Health Challenges—Connecting the Dots, will be presented by Karen O’Rourke, RN, MS, JD, Epoch Regional Clinical Services. Karen will explore the connections among choices of footwear, Betty White wit and wisdoms, and the benefits of vitamin B.

The workshop will encourage participants to:
• Take an inventory of health and wellness practices based upon the advice of Betty White
• Explore wise footwear choices based upon the latest styles and trends
• Explore how a diet which includes vital nutrients may improve brain function

RMV TO OFFER WORKSHOP
The Council On Aging is hosting the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles for a workshop on Tuesday, March 6th at 1:00 PM. The topics to be presented at this workshop include:
• Regulations and use of disability placards and license plates
• Safety tips for older drivers
• Dealing with family members who are unsafe driver
• Warning signs of unsafe driving

This workshop is free and open to all community members. A question and answer period will follow the presentation. Refreshments will be available. Pre-registration is required for attendance at this workshop, and space is limited. FOODS FOR DISEASE PREVENTION WORKSHOP TO BE HELD
Mansfield Council On Aging will host Bristol Elder Nutritionist Eric Esterling for a fun and informative workshop on superfoods that help to fight disease. “Picking the Best Foods that Fight Disease” will be presented on Wednesday, March 21st at 12:00 PM.

Eric will discuss the facts and myths associated with foods and nutritive value in disease prevention, and tips on how to include healthy foods in your daily diet.
